The CAP Centre offers training for psychology students and professionals at various stages of their career.

Current Openings

We are currently hiring!!

  • We are looking to fill the full-time position of Clinical Director (salaried position). The responsibilities include:
    • Overseeing all clinical work, including supervising psychometry, assessment and intervention cases
    • Conducting intake and feedback sessions with clients
    • Editing reports
    • Client management
    • Overseeing case assignments
    • Monitoring and evaluating clinicians’ performance

This position involves a combination of in person and virtual responsibilities

We are looking for an M.A./Ph.D. level clinician (Clinical Psychology) to provide direct treatment and/or assessment, consultation, and psychotherapy to child and adolescent clients. Treatment is to be provided using evidence-based therapies (e.g. Cognitive Behavioural Therapy). The ideal candidate will also conduct some psychological and psychoeducational assessment to identify learning, attentional, social-emotional, and social-developmental challenges.

Responsibilities:

  • Conducting psychoeducational/psychodiagnostic assessments
  • Providing individual or group therapy to child and adolescent clients
  • Conducting in-home and/or in-school observations as necessary
  • Maintaining complete and accurate written records/reports of client progress
  • Providing updates to family doctors and/or other health care providers as needed

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Extensive knowledge of psychology theory, best practices, principles, procedures, and assessment and treatment techniques, with a clinical focus in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including support, analysis, and empathy
  • Teamwork skills
  • Awareness of the most up-to-date information on standards of practice

Experience:

  • Experience in psychoeducational/psychodiagnostic assessment
  • Direct clinical experience and training in treatment using Cognitive Behavioural Therapy
